Frequently asked questions ..... And answers
Is an Alarm Guard security system really as good as a you say?
Yes! We have an unrivalled wealth of experience and the equipment we use is extremely reliable. We are capable of surveying and carrying out a risk analysis of your premises, our engineers are well trained and the manufacturers of the equipment we use test every item before it leaves the factory.
Will you tie me in to an expensive contract like some other companies do?
No! The installation price includes 12 months maintenance. We can continue this cover for an annual reasonable annual charge including a service visit. This cover is recommended, but is totally optional. We don't force anything onto you.. For monitored alarms the annual charge is higher and is not optional, but is very competitive.
Can I have extra items fitted to the alarm?
Yes, we can install additional items when we fit the alarm or at any time in the future.
Can I have fire detection fitted to my alarm?
Yes. In fact, we try to encourage our customers to do so. No-one should now be relying on the cheap, stand alone battery units which are very unreliable. Our fire detectors are combined heat and smoke sensors complying fully with BS 5839: Part 6 and capable of detecting slow burning and fast burning fires.
This is where we are different. Any company can be wonderful when everything is fine, but as we all know with everything in life there are times when things don’t go to plan.. We firmly believe that the sign of a truly good company is how they conduct themselves when things go wrong, and we assure you that we always resolve any difficulties very speedily.
How well and how carefully do you install the alarm?
We take utmost care with your property. We even bring our own hand-brush and dustpan! We fit the alarm in accordance with British Standard EN 50131 and we are regularly inspected by SSAIB. We strive for 100% customer satisfaction at all times. Nothing less would suit you or us.
Will my insurers be happy with an Alarm Guard?
We are SSAIB approved. This ensures that our alarms are acceptable to every insurance company. If your premises are unusual or if you have an exceptionally high risk it may be prudent to check with your insurers before placing an order. When the alarm has been installed you may be able to obtain a discount from your insurers.
